Again a disappointing experience. They are really good at making scratching pain by different means, highly recommend for people who are willing to show off their massage scratching marks to friends or experience anxiety during the massage that the sharp scratching pain could come at any moment. I have been regularly visit Akasha until my last experience during their renovation more than a year ago. The therapist was kind and nice, but gave a sharp, slicing pain on the skin, felt like her finger nails were not well trimmed. When I mentioned this during the session, the therapist attributed the pain to the use of the Theragun. However, the sensation caused by a massage gun is completely different from a slicing pain on the skin. There were also light scratching marks after the massage, not so visible on the pictures. Although I provided this feedback afterward when the spa requested it by email, it does not appear that the feedback was ever meaningfully reviewed or addressed. I always had great experiences here, I assumed the renovation period might have affected service quality. I returned yesterday after the renovation was completed, hoping the service quality would have improved. The environment of this spa has improved a bit. It is clean and pleasant, and the front desk staff and therapists are nice and friendly. However, despite these improvements, I remain very disappointed with the massage quality and overall level of professionalism. The therapist was kind and well-mannered, with properly trimmed nails and soft hands. However, once again, certain massage techniques and hand positions caused the same type of sharp, slicing pain on the skin. I raised this issue during the session, yet the pain occurred again, suggesting a lack of understanding of the cause. I do not believe this was intentional, but rather a result of insufficient training or experience. Because of this, I was unable to relax at any point during the massage. Instead, I remained tense and anxious, constantly anticipating the next painful moment. This morning, I also noticed a visible scratch mark on my back, and the massage could be the only possible explanation. A high-end spa is not only supposed to only provide pleasant environment and kind staff but also consistent professional technique, proper training, and genuine attention to guest feedback. Unfortunately, this spa failed to meet those expectations.

Went in for a 50 min couple massage priced at 405€. Massage was ok, the masseuse were friendly and courteous. Receptionist looked annoyed to welcome us and did not explain much about how to get to the massage area. Typical Amsterdam customer service. Fruit platter is fresh, tasty. Champagne is low end. Overall overpriced for what you get. The facility is quite big which is fine, however it feels like going into a basement. I prefer open spaces with daylight. 1h massage instead of 50 min would also feel more appropriate for this price.

I was recently visiting Akasha Spa, and I must say it's a true gem. The spa's facilities are top-notch, provides a serene and luxurious environment. The staff's attention to detail and friendly demeanor enhanced my overall experience. Highly recommend for a delightful retreat.

Doesn’t even deserve a one star review. Do not go to this place. Such a shame that they run such a terrible spa at a nice 5 star hotel! Terrible terrible experience. I was given a spa experience for my birthday as a gift. We had a couples massage and facial booked. The check-in was rushed. The massage was terrible. It felt like the masseuse was tapping her fingers instead of actually using hands to do a proper massage. I also got a facial which was over €100. Unfortunately, it was the worst facial I got. Half the time I was left on the bed while the therapist was walking around chatting. While the facial was going on, someone also kept opening the door and kept speaking - not relaxing at all! I don’t think this spa has professional and trained masseuse. The area around the pool was dirty with hair on the floor. It’s like it hasn’t been clean in weeks. Shocking to see the terrible quality of this place they call a spa. Save your money and go somewhere else!

I have visited the spa twice. The facilities offer many opportunities for extra relax in addition to the treatments with a sauna, steam room, pool and jacuzzi. The temperature of the pool is lovely (warm). The treatment rooms are well decorated. The spa offers a wide variety of unique treatments but I do feel like they are slightly over priced.

I paid €400 for couples massage and it was the worst experience ever, i wanted the 50 min to finish from how bad it was. They were just moving their hands, no technique, pressure was not consistent, and just horrible. I complained to the manager and was rude and questioning my feedback saying that the therapist are really good and no one ever complained which is falls ofc because when I opened google maps and showed here the complains she claimed that she knew nothing about, how can a spa manager not know her customers feedback!

I am extremely disappointed with the service I received regarding a voucher I was gifted for your spa. This was a thoughtful birthday present, but the experience has been anything but pleasant. The voucher I received was issued without an expiration date, which was a mistake made by your team. Now, I am being told that I cannot use it, despite the fact that the error was entirely on your part. When I reached out to resolve this, I was met with no willingness to find a solution or accommodate your mistake. To make matters worse, I had to wait over a year to use the voucher because your spa was undergoing renovations during that time. I was patient and understanding, but now that I am finally able to visit, I am being penalized for something completely out of my control. This situation has left me feeling incredibly frustrated and disheartened. A gift that was supposed to bring joy has turned into a stressful ordeal, and your lack of customer care has only made it worse. I strongly urge you to reconsider your approach to handling such issues. Mistakes happen, but refusing to take responsibility and make things right reflects poorly on your business. This was not the level of service I expected, and I will not be recommending your spa to others based on this experience. I hope you will review your policies and treat your customers with the fairness and respect they deserve.

Incredibly disappointing spa experience. Joined my friend for some self care, relaxation and time away at the Akasha spa for her birthday. We found the entire experience from check-in, locker room to the linens to be substandard. The spa surroundings are lovely and very Zen but that doesn't offset the cold, hard massage table, busy swimming pool full of kids and loud ladies talking outside the massage room. Overall, it was far from a relaxing, restful 5 star experience. Will be going to the Waldorf for all spa needs in the future. Don't waste your time or money here.
